Probing Temperature‐Induced Phase Transitions at Individual Ferroelectric Domain Walls

Ferroelectric domain walls have emerged as one of the most fascinating objects in condensed matter physics due to broad variability functional behaviors they exhibit. However, vast majority studies been focused on bias-induced dynamics and transport behaviors. Here, scanning probe microscopy approach based piezoresponse force (PFM) with a dynamically heated probe, combining local heating biasing material is introduced. This used explore thermal polarization soft Sn2P2S6 ferroelectrics, allows for exploration phase transitions at individual walls. The strong weak modulation regimes PFM are future potential applications SPM measurements including piezoelectric, elastic, microwave, discussed.
